Half Marathon and Kids' Fun Run

I love Colorado!! Our first 2 weeks here have been amazing. I have to say to my Cleveland friends (who we really miss!)... you guys don't know what you don't have :) Some of you might, I guess.

We spent this past Saturday in Louisville, Colorado. (FYI it's pronounced Lewis-ville. What are they thinking with their pronunciation of the same word in Kentucky?) I ran a half marathon and Austin did the kids' fun run. It was an awesome morning.

They had lots of fun things for the kids to do while they waited for mom to finish her race.

Here I come across the finish line. I've run full marathons before so I thought a half would be a breeze. NOPE! Still hard. I am happy though because I beat my goal time (by a whopping 21 seconds).

Eden doesn't care if you're sweaty. She loves you anyway.

Here's a picture of Austin's race. He was so excited and had tons of fun....until he decided to look behind him, which caused him to stumble into someone in front of him and fall. He didn't actually end up finishing the race because he had a bloody lip and a scraped up knee :) Poor guy.

I know--way to go! Both on posting and the half-marathon. Keep the posts coming. Austin looks so cute running.

Go ahead, tell us what we're missing. I won't mind :D

I have no idea what they were thinking with the same word in Kentucky. Maybe its just the southern accent that makes it come out that way. I think this is one of your best blog posts ever. Sorry Ryan.
