My first fillings :)

Here are my first two fillings done on real life people (the same person actually). You can see there's some decay on the side of one of these back teeth, the second one from the back.

Here's the same tooth after I drilled out the decay and filled it with composite.

Here is a shot of the tooth in the middle that has a cavity that you can't really see except on the Xray.

Here is in the middle of prepping it. I haven't finished drilling it out yet, I paused to take the pic and give the patient (and me) a break. The purple rubber is called a rubber dam and is supposed to isolate the tooth from the rest of the mouth while I work with it.

All finished, from a different angle. It's the third tooth from the back.

I'm not gonna tell you how long this took. It's crazy how time just flies by when you're focusing so hard on something. Needless to say, if I don't get faster at this my kids will have to pay off my loans. BUT I did numb the patient up successfully each time on my own. I also learned a lot and will be able to go much faster next time.

Ooohh...very nice work my friend! I'm just jealous that you are seeing patients. I'm still waiting for my Washington state license so I can start working! Miss you guys.
